THE LESTER PRIZE

EXHIBITION & EVENT SEASON

Twine - Ideas That Bind has been excited to be part of The Lester Prize (previously the Black Swan Prize) Operations Management Team for 5 years.

Held in the heart of Perth, it proudly showcases and promotes Australia's most talented professional and emerging visual artists.

The Prize plays a critical role in helping to diversify WA’s local economy, grow cultural tourism, and activate spaces through creative placemaking. Its annual Exhibition & Event Season has been attended by over 3.2 million people since its inception.

We have led the team in all aspects of marketing, communications and media management; event management; community engagement; and exhibition management. Our scope included

successfully managing the rebrand from the Black Swan Prize for Portraiture to The Lester Prize from 2019 - 2021, providing full in-house graphic design services, the development and implementation of best practice management systems and team training to administer the Prize.

Twine is proud to work with the Department of Communities and the

Bentley 360 Project Team.

This is one of the most significant medium-to-high density urban infill developments in WA. The transformation of the site into a vibrant, thriving and integrated community will deliver a contemporary residential development of at least 1500 new dwellings, high-quality parkland and recreation spaces, as well as community, commercial and retail offerings.

With a focus on community connections, delivery of new state-of-the-art facilities and support services, and new employment and training opportunities, Bentley 360 will provide a safe, inclusive community with a strong sense of place and belonging for all residents.

FINDING THE EXTRAORDINARY

IN THE ORDINARY

As a result of our recent Meander, Triste and Awe: A Bound Unbound

Exhibition, we've been inundated with requests from people inspired to learn more about Brett's unique approach to his photographic and visual art practice.

We are currently developing a range of Twine workshops and events to be held in beautiful locations around WA for those called to lead a more creative and individual life.

As Aristotle once said: "The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance."

Stay tuned via Facebook, Instagram

or our website, or sign up to our eNews for more info on our forthcoming interactive workshops and talks.

FARMADALE FUN DAY

There was something for everyone at the “Farmadale” event hosted by

Lendlease Armadale Shopping City

on Saturday 21 April!

The Twine team had so much fun helping local residents celebrate all things ‘food’ , from paddock to plate.

A feast for all the senses, the event program included sustainable gardening workshops by Lisa Passmore, healthy cooking chef demonstrations by Kelly Ramsay of Channel 7's MKR, free food tastings, a farmyard animal petting zoo, kids' eco arts and crafts, bush tales, farm games, live entertainment by the  talented Libby Hammer & Beth Sheldon with the Crazy Hat Day Show, and a Barn Dance.

The inaugural Farmadale Pie Contest was a great success with prizes awarded for the best signature savoury and sweet homemade pies, and food donations given to a worthy local community charity, Crossways Kelmscott.
